researcher:N Chande, M. Laidlaw, P Adams and P Marotta

The research, titled “YHK improves transaminases in NASH”, was released in Canada on Mar.19th-22nd, 2005. Except for anti-inflammatory and antifibrotic functions, YHK can also achieve improvement in transaminases in viral hepatitis cases. It effectively reduced ALT (GPT) value in patients with NASH,,and more…….
4. EFFECT OF K-17.22, A NOVEL PHYTOTERAPEUTIC AGENT, ON DNA SYNTHESIS AND LIVER ENZYME RELEASE IN EXPERIMENTAL LIVER DAMAGE
researcher:F Marotta Y Rahman-Shield E Minelli A Helmy P Safran M Harada

Research on YHK‘s beneficial effect on plasma and liver tissue parameters of hepatotoxicity as well as on liver DNA synthesis activity was released in Yamanashi, Japan during Nov.14th to 15th, 2002. The data shows that, YHK have protective effect in liver toxicity case. The research is helpful on treatment of HCV, especially in view of HCC (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) transformation, and more…….
5. IS THERE ANY LIVER ANTI-FIBROTIC EFFECT OF K-17.22? AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY WITH IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS IN A RAT MODEL
researcher:F Marotta Y Rahman-Shield E Minelli A Helmy E.Oliva P Safran M. Harada(Harada Hospital, Saitama, Japan)

Study on anti-fibrosis effect of YHK was released in Yamanashi, Japan during Nov.14th to 15th, 2002. Liver fibrosis in chronic liver disease is not a simple deposition of excess but it implies a change in the type of matrix molecules. The result of test showed a potent antifibrotic effect of YHK by reducing fat deposition in hepatocyte and number of activated stellate cells, and more…….
6. YHK, A NOVEL HERBAL REMEDY WITH EFFECTIVE ANTIFIBROTIC ACTION, IN CHRONIC LIVER DISEASE: A PILOT CLINICAL STUDY AIMING TO A SUCCESSFUL INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE DEVELOPMENT
researcher:M. Harada(Harada Hospital, Saitama, Japan) F. Marotta(Hepato-GI Dept., S. Giuseppe Hosp., Milano, Italy) S.H. Sha(Inst. Health Care Oriental Herbs & Med, Tokyo, Japan) E. Minelli(WHO-Cntr., for Traditional Medicine, University of Milano, Italy)

The research on effective antifibrotic action of YHK in chronic liver disease was released in Yamanashi, Japan on Nov.14th to 15th, 2002. Chronic liver disease represents one of the major causes of mortality and morbidity worldwide. In the end of this experiment, we found, transaminases level significantly decreased and value of ALT (GPT) fell into normal in all patients within first two weeks, and we also see an improvement of liver fibrosis, and more…….
7. A Nutritional Approach with Herbal Remedy K-17.22 Delays the Onset of Spontaneous Chronic Pancreatitis
researcher:Marotta F(Hepato-GI Department, S. Giuseppe Hospital. Milan, Italy) Harada M(Harada Hospital, Saitama, Japan ) Bertuccelli J Rouge A Anzulovic H Yanaihara N(Yanaihara Institute Inc., Shizuoka, Japan) Ideo G

The research on “YHK Delays the Onset of Spontaneous Chronic Pancreatitis” was published in Como, Italy on Sep.20th to 22nd, 2001. CP is a progressive disease. There are no available and validated therapeutic options. But our test shows that, YHK exerts powerful protective and therapeutic effect against the progression of experimental CP,and more…….
8. Effect of “YHK(YojyoHenshiKo)”, in patients with hepatic diseases
researcher:S. Sha (Institute of Health Care with Oriental Herb and Medicine, Tokyo, Japan) M.Harada(Harada Hospital, Saitama, Japan) N. Yanaihara (Yanaihara Institute Inc., Shizuoka, Japan)

The research, titled “YHK’s effect on liver hepatitis disease”, was released in Maui, Hawai on Dec.16th -20th, 2001, aiming to test effect of YHK on reducing serum ALT(GPT) and AST(GOT) level of the patients with liver diseases, such as HBV, HCV, Alcoholic liver, Drug abused liver, Fatty liver, Cirrhosis, Liver cancer and so on. The result shows YHK successfully reduced levels of ALT (GPT) and AST (GOT) of patients. And no side effect was observed during the treatment, and more…….

In Japan, the mortality of liver cancer is increasing year by year. The morbidity of liver cancer from the hepatitis C has three times more than that of the hepatitis B. At present, the interferon is effective medicine for the hepatitis C. However, 70 % of Japanese are sero-type 1 and 30% are sero-type 11. But interferon is not so effective for the sero-type 1 patients which account 70% of total population in Japan. In the research published in Saitama, Japan on Oct.20th, 2001, we found YHK can successfully reduce level of ALT (GPT) to normal in 10-14 days, and more…….
